The Satis House is a little less than enjoyable place for Pip to visit. Pip is constantly disappointed and ridiculed at this setting by both Estell and Miss Havisham. Pip is unfortunate enough to fall into love with Estella at first sight. This doesn't go unnoticed so Miss Havisham makes Estella practice breaking a man's heart on the helpless and innocent Pip. Estella and Miss Havisham take full advantage of this on every opportunity they get. Miss Havisham's plan of seeking revenge on the entire male gender with Estella seems to be working perfectly until Estella ages and decides to get married without the consent of Miss Havisham. This reveals that Miss Havisham's plan has backfired since Estella has now no feelings for neither herself or anyone else. This causes Miss Havisham to go into a depression and the misconception that there is nothing for her to live for so she commits suicide by setting herself aflame. In the end of the novel, the Satis House becomes just remains and is then divided into lots to be auctioned off. Its destiny is never told for the novel comes to a conclusion before it is auctioned off.
